이번 학기 설계 컨셉은 ‘삼청동에서 누릴수 있는 것들’ 이다.
삼청동을 닮은 건물이라기 보다 삼청동 같은 건물을 만들고자 하는 취지이다.
물론 밑의 하위 컨셉 몇개가 더 붙기는 하지만 가장 함축적이고 주된 컨셉이다.
1. 시각적 유희 ( 볼륨, 색 , 구도 로 부터..)
2. 휴먼 스케일 ( 공간, 동선, 느낌.. 삼청동의 과거와 현재에 이르기까지 변함없는 공통분모. )
이와같은 컨셉을 바탕으로 모델을 만들었다.
1) 모델의 외피는 시각이다. site를 둘러싼 등고에 의해 역으로 site를 감상하자는 의미에서 다양한 시각의 구도에서
재미있고 개성있는 면을 보여주어야겠다는 생각이다. 볼륨과 많은 관련이 있을 수 있다.
2)모델의 내용물은 공간이다. site의 크기는 삼청동의 스케일에 어긋난다. 그래서 한 site 내에서 스케일을 쪼개어
균형을 맞춰주어야 한다고 생각했다. 그래서 여러조각으로 구성되는 공간을 표현했고, 휴먼스케일은 사람의 물리적
인 스케일만 고려하는 것이 아니라 사람의 활동 반경을 스케일로 삼는 것이라 생각해서 크고 작은 공간을 준비했다.
(즉, 공간에서의 휴먼 스케일은 ‘낭비가 없는 공간’ 이라 할 수 있겠다.)
여기서의 난점은 쪼갠 조각들을 내적으로 다시 통일된 느낌을 가지게 해야 한다는 점에서 주의가 필요하다.
3) 모델의 인간띠는 동선을 의미한다. 구체적이 표현이긴하나 그만큼 정확한 표현이다. 사람이 들고나고,
공간 틈으로 숨고 돌고.. 길은 구획되어지는 것보다 공간의 틈을 찾아 들어간다. 덧붙여 길 역시 휴먼 스케일에서
벗어날 수 는 없다. 사람이 마주치고 부대끼는 낭비없는 길이 되어야 할 것이다.
4) 바닥의 잔디는 site 의 기본적인 성격을 나타낸다. site는 삼청동 내에서 주요 동선의 시작점 혹은 끝점이다.
나는 동선이란 끈에서 그 양끝은 휴식이어야 한다고 생각한다. 이완에서 출발해서 긴장으로 그리고 다시 이완으로
돌아와야 동선이 정리가 되고 지치지 않는다.
그리고 휴식을 떠나서도 삼청동의 속성은 ‘이완’ 이다.
기타적으로는 모델은 흔들면 그 안의 공간들이 움직여 재배치 되는데, 나는 흔드는 행위를 삼청동에서의 문화, 놀이.
그리고 자유롭게 배치되는 공간들을 삼청동의 인위적이지 않은 공간 구성으로 생각하였다.
